Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the transfer of baggage by Loch Ness Travel on any of the long distance walking routes for which we offer this service.

Transfer charges, as set out in our tariff of charges, will be applicable to each single item of baggage.

A single item of baggage should not exceed 18 kg in weight.

Any single item of baggage exceeding 18kg will not be handled by our staff.  In the event that a single item of baggage exceeds 18kg, we can make available, free of charge, an empty bag which may be used on loan to accommodate excess belongings and equipment for the duration of the transfer route. However, this loaned bag will be subject to charges, as set out in our tariff, as an additional single item of baggage.

Baggage should be made available for collection by 09.30 each morning, and will be delivered to your next accommodation by 5pm at the latest.

All baggage should have the labels supplied by us securely attached, prior to collection.

Please do not attach bulky items to the exterior of bags.

Do not include items of high value, or easily damaged items, in your baggage for transfer. This includes cameras, IPads, laptops etc.

No camping gas is to be carried in transportable luggage.

No liability for loss or damage to baggage, or the contents of baggage, is accepted by the carrier. It is strongly recommended that you have your own insurance for your baggage, as part of your personal or travel holiday insurance.
