Loch Ness & Glen Affric Gravel Sportive

Loch Ness & Glen Affric Gravel Sportive

Saturday 27th September 2025

Welcome to the Loch Ness and Glen Affric Gravel Sportive – a grassroots cycling event organised jointly by the communities of Glenurquhart and Strathglass. This scenic route of approximately 55 miles connects the Two Glens via a mix of gravel tracks and road sections, offering riders a challenging yet unforgettable experience in the heart of the Highlands.

Starting and finishing in the village of Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness, the route leads through Glenurquhart Forest to Corrimony, before transitioning onto quiet roads through to Cannich. From there, riders head back into the forest and into the stunning landscapes of Glen Affric, passing through the dramatic Dog Falls and arriving at the picturesque village of Tomich. A linking road section reconnects Tomich and Corrimony, followed by a final forest segment featuring a leg-burning climb before the finish line back in Drumnadrochit.

Along the way, participants will be treated to breathtaking views, vibrant autumn colours, and the warm hospitality of the Highlands. You’ll ride alongside around 100 fellow cyclists, all soaking in the beauty of this special part of Scotland.

Proceeds from the event will support the ongoing improvement of cycling and walking tracks in the area. With growing interest from outdoor enthusiasts, Drumnadrochit’s cycling and walking Hub is well-positioned to assist with providing guidance on transport, accommodation, and route planning for both Glenurquhart and Glen Affric.
