East Highland Way FAQ's

Loch Ness Hub & Travel will collect your luggage from your accommodation each morning, transport it along the East Highland Way, and deliver it to your next overnight stop — so you walk with just a day‑pack instead of carrying heavy bags.

Maximum weight per bag: 20 kg.

Bags must be securely closed and nothing attached externally.

Each walker should book at least one bag; on the East Highland Way a minimum of two bags per booking applies.

Yes — you can arrange extra bags, but they must be booked in advance. Excess or unplanned baggage transfers may incur additional fees.

Possibly — but only if you confirm there is secure and unrestricted access for pickup/drop‑off. Loch Ness Hub & Travel requires confirmation that bags will be accessible.

You should email bookings@lochnesstravel.com marked URGENT or phone 01463 832 566. Cancellation or amendments are subject to the standard cancellation policy and possible administration fees.

No, Loch Ness Hub & Travel does not accept liability for loss or damage to the contents of baggage. It is strongly recommended that walkers have their own travel or personal insurance covering luggage in transit.

Book your accommodation first, then submit your itinerary via the booking enquiry form on the Loch Ness Hub website. List number of walkers, bags, and note any special requirements (e.g. bikes, pets).
